Opposite’s Aidan Turner wanted Declan’s body to look real in shirtless scenes
Aidan Turner He got everyone’s attention when he stripped naked opponent – and he’s now explaining why he wanted Declan’s body to look real on screen.
“He’s a father and he’s a journalist, so I thought it was a little weird [to make him look too sculpted],” Turner, 41, exclusively told US Weekly About his approach to those shirtless scenes. “I often see actors in movies or TV shows whose roles don’t necessarily require them to [very buff]. He continued: “What we care about is whether we get a chance. But I think most of my peers on this show don’t really become too self-conscious. We just keep going. We know what we’re getting into. He concluded: “As an actor, there’s a lot of disappointment, and some shows you think are going to come out don’t – and you get confused by that.
