Mike Gambino’s first year in Happy Valley was an unequivocal success. The Nittany Lions went 29-24 in 2024, their first winning season since 2016, and the 29 wins set a new high in the program for the new head coach.
Additionally, Penn State qualified for the Big Ten Tournament as the eighth seed and finished 2 in front of a crowd of 13,000 (mostly Cornhuskers) at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha. – 1 came a long way before losing to Nebraska.
