The outgoing Biden administration is acting as if a foreign invasion force is about to take over and the house must be burned down to stop the “invaders” from succeeding.

In the past few weeks, cynicism has risen several notches due to decisions made by the outgoing president and others in his administration. First came the pardon of Hunter Biden, then pardoned some 1,500 others, including a former Pennsylvania judge who used his private prison system to incarcerate teenagers and pocket the profits. Pennsylvania Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro tore up the pardon, saying Biden was “completely wrong” in the so-called “Kids for Cash” scandal.

Other questionable pardons and clemency include Biden’s for former Dixon, Illinois, Comptroller Rita Crundwell. Crundwell was convicted in 2013 and sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison for stealing nearly $54 million from the town of 15,000 residents over two decades. It is said to be the largest municipal fraud in U.S. history. Crundwell, 71, admitted embezzling money from the city and using the stolen funds to support a lavish lifestyle. According to WTTW, “Officials recovered only $40 million in stolen city funds from court settlements, the work of auditors, and proceeds from the liquidation of Crundwell’s assets.

Understanding Donald Trump’s Cabinet: Who has the president-elect chosen so far?

Biden has been selling off steel barriers ordered during the previous Trump administration to build the wall and secure the southern border. These are materials purchased with taxpayer dollars. This appears to be part of a cynical plan to frustrate the incoming Trump team and make their job of border control more difficult. I don’t remember such a shift in our history.

Then there are drones. The U.S. government claims they are not adversaries from the United States and do not pose a threat to public safety. They also claim to know nothing about them. If they know nothing, how can they assert that they are not a foreign entity and will not harm people?

Bernie Sanders thinks pardoning Hunter Biden sets a ‘dangerous’ precedent

The drones have been seen over New Jersey and New York for weeks, and were recently spotted over California and Nevada. A woman called into a Washington talk show and said she and her daughter saw 30 drones flying over southern Maryland. Former Maryland Republican Gov. Larry Hogan released photos of what he said were drones flying over his home in suburban Washington. With the Biden administration providing no credible information, conspiracy theorists are in full swing and accusing of a cover-up.

While Democratic New York Mayor Eric Adams says he will work with the incoming Trump administration to remove illegal immigrants from the country, even from his “sanctuary cities,” other Democratic mayors and governors have pledged Even those who have committed criminal acts will resist deportation.

Incoming “border czar” Tom Homan has promised to send teams of agents into cities and states that resist control of Democratic politicians and deport immigrants. An October Fox News poll showed they have the support of a clear majority of Americans.

Support for deportation has increased dramatically since 2015, according to polls of registered voters. . Support rose by 16 percentage points. Even Democratic support for deportation increased from 34% in 2015 to 42%.

That doesn’t seem to matter to the Biden administration, which is still five weeks away from taking office. They are acting as if Vice President Kamala Harris, not Trump, won the election and voters can be ignored.

A second Trump administration will have a lot of cleanup to do. If the policies they promise prove effective, public support will remain high as they and the Republican congressional majority seek to reverse the damage caused by the Biden administration.
