“Debo wants to help us and the only way he can help us is to get the ball more and we want to get the ball to him more and we’ll continue to work on that.”
Shanahan added that he hoped Samuel would keep the issue online, but said the incident was “a matter of crossing the bridge.”

Brock Purdy, who appears to be the subject of Samuel’s post, echoed the same sentiment.
“Debo and I talk all the time and he’s like one of my best friends on this team. I just love Debo and everything he does for me and help me,” the quarterback said Tuesday.
“I think he’s right. He’s doing a good job offensively right now and what we’re asking of him. And he’s not struggling or anything. It’s just, like I said before, a guy like Rickey [Pearsall] Or spent some time with Aiyuk last year. I think throughout the season, there are times when guys just don’t get the ball, depending on the playbook or the defensive playbook, and then they take guys away. So, I want Debo to get the ball every play if I can. I want him to break every record possible. I want Deebo to do Deebo things that we all do in this building. So, that’s how the game goes. But I love my player and I’m going to do whatever I can to get the ball to him.
