Iconic Holiday Movies You Forgot About But Need to Rewatch
Hallmark releases a slew of new holiday movies every year, but their best holiday movies actually come from the past.
The network has been offering seasonal content since 2001 and is known for keeping viewers laughing until Christmas or finding a story that tugs at even Scrooge’s heartstrings. But in addition to the heartwarming romance, wish-fulfillment, and stunning backdrops, Hallmark stars are also returning, many of whom have been around for a decade or more.

“[Window Wonderland] Everything is centered around love. It’s a great love story, but not sentimental,” he explains. “It’s fun, it’s funny, it’s fast, and it’s snappy. So well written [with] The dialogue is good, but it has the happy ending you want when watching a Christmas movie. This is a feel-good movie. You want to see everyone get what they want in the end. Spoiler alert: they do!

“Marry for the holidays”

Revelry ensues.
There’s certainly tons to love about this hilarious movie, from Lawrence and Hampshire’s natural rapport to the classic fake-versus-real dating trope that’s a favorite among Hallmark fans. Even better, Marry for the holidays Around Christmas and Hanukkah, a variety of traditions and celebrations are introduced for everyone to enjoy.
“The Secret of Christmas”
Starring: Bethany Joy Lentz, John Reardon

This heartwarming Hallmark movie stars Bethany Joy Lenz Christine is a struggling single mother who’s down on her luck: She’s just been fired, is threatened with eviction, and her smarmy ex-husband is taking her to court for custody of her children. Think it can’t get worse? Wrong. Kristen also just lost a treasured family heirloom that was passed down from her father when she was a child.
As she struggles to put her life in order, she unexpectedly finds support from a handsome stranger – a bakery owner named Jason (John Reardon), she has an unexpected connection with her. Along with her new family, Christine’s luck slowly begins to change before Christmas.
Lenz has never made a Christmas movie that wasn’t worth watching, but she’s particularly stunning in this story about love, hope, and the importance of leading with kindness even in the most difficult of circumstances. Break out the tissues because this is a tearjerker.
“Wonderland outside the window”

However, as their rivalry intensifies, so does their attraction to each other, causing their rivalry to become more complicated.
winter wonderland Has it all: witty dialogue, an all-star cast, an impressive budget, and great chemistry between its two leads. bonus? The film delivers on its signature close-quarters trope when Sloane and Jack find themselves locked inside McGuires and forced to spend the night together.
“Christmas Cottage”

Why you need to (re)watch: Nothing screams the holidays like a magical Christmas cabin that’s destined to bring you happiness and joy. exist Christmas cabinLacey (Merritt Patterson) takes a break from her busy life as an architect to serve as bridesmaid at her best friend’s winter wedding. Her biggest responsibility? Decorating Bride Ava’s (Britney Wilson) family cabin for the newlyweds to stay in after the ceremony.
Obviously, Lacey can’t decorate alone! She is forced to work with her ex-boyfriend Ean (Steve Lund), who happened to be attending the wedding. Legend has it that “everyone who lives here during Christmas finds true love,” and both Lacey and Ian believe it – even if they don’t say it out loud. When the two are trapped in a cabin before their wedding, they are forced to see if their feelings for each other still exist.
If you’ve never seen this Hallmark hit, prepare for a cozy atmosphere, tons of Christmas decorations and a surprisingly adult breakup scene – spoiler: Lacey isn’t single when she arrives at the cabin! If this movie doesn’t make you want to escape to the mountains and rent a cabin for the holidays, we don’t know what will.
“Christmas in My Heart”

Why you need to (re)watch: Amnesia, Wedding Dresses and Romance Andrew Walker — er, we mean, Walker’s Zach Callahan — are three reasons to revisit this classic. Christmas in my heart Follow Lucy Lovett (Ashley Greene) hit her head while holding her wedding dress. When she wakes up, she goes to see her fiancé Zach, but they are not engaged yet. In fact, they broke up two years ago, but Lucy doesn’t remember anything.
Zach is a nice guy, or so it seems, so he helps Lucy get back to her new fancy house and awkwardly meets her new fiancé Brad (Clayton James). However, Lucy didn’t understand why she broke up with Zach, so under the doctor’s orders, she returned to her hometown to celebrate the holidays and try to stimulate her memory. Let’s just say that the moment Lucy’s memories come back, they’re not what she imagined.
While there’s some cheating on Zack’s part in this movie, we can’t help but love the doomed lovers storyline. Lucy and Zach are the perfect couple – so who are we to judge how they get back together. In addition to the dreamy romance, the movie’s scenery, seaside Christmas tree and snowman-building competition keep us coming back year after year.
