You can now buy a car on Amazon

Conway Gittens: I’m Conway Gittens from the New York Stock Exchange. Here’s what we saw today on TheStreet.
Investors are reluctant to make any big bets ahead of this week’s inflation data. AutoZone missed quarterly sales and profit expectations due to the ongoing impact of inflation.
On Wednesday, Wall Street will release the Consumer Price Index for November.

Turning to other business headlines, Amazon is adding cars to the items you can buy on its site. Currently, the service is limited to new cars sold by Hyundai. Amazon Auto Services effectively takes the haggling out of the car buying process.
“We are bringing the simplicity and convenience that customers expect from Amazon to shopping for cars, one of their largest purchases, while providing dealers with a Provide businesses with a new channel to connect with a broad audience.
Buyers in 48 cities can browse Hyundai dealers’ inventory to know about make, model, trim, color and any desired additional features. Financing and trade-in offers are also available on the Amazon app. All final numbers, including taxes, are on the front.
There is no choice but to sign all documents with electronic signatures and then organize your schedule
Pick up your order with the dealer. While Amazon is known for its free shipping, it doesn’t ship cars.
Amazon is not actually selling cars, but providing dealers with the technology and platform to sell cars. Car buyers can already purchase cars online through Carvana, Tesla and CarGurus.
