Juan Soto agrees to MLB-record $765 million deal with Mets: report

Juan Soto will remain in New York, but he won’t pitch for the Yankees.

The New York Mets have long been considered the frontrunners to sign the 26-year-old superstar, but they instead signed him to an MLB-record 15-year, 7.65-year contract, according to multiple reports billion dollar contract.

Last offseason, Shohei Ohtani’s $700 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers broke the record for the largest deal in league history. Now, Soto crushes it and remains in Queens for the foreseeable future.
