80-year-old man dies after argument over grocery store parking spot turns violent
An 80-year-old man died after a violent fight over a parking spot outside a Texas grocery store, authorities said.
According to court documents, 80-year-old Army veteran Earl Hollins and 57-year-old Anthony Ray Boyce both went to a food court in north Harris County, Houston, on Friday afternoon grocery store. Click2Houston.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said Saturday that Boyce and Hollins were both regular customers of the store and acquaintances.
Police said the 80-year-old man was hit in the head during an argument between two men over a parking space.
Boyce reportedly fled the scene in a maroon Ford F150 truck with distinctive tan or white running boards. Click2Houston.
Meanwhile, Hollins was taken to the hospital with a head injury and fell into a coma.

Hollins’ niece, Alma Hollins Washington, told ABC13 her uncle was brain-dead in the attack.
She said the family turned off his life support system on Saturday night.
Hollins-Washington slammed the alleged attack, saying “this is not right… this was not man-made.”[Hollins] is unique. I mean to understand him you have to love him. He is an easy going person. He was friendly,” she said.
Boyce was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and aggravated assault.
He was booked into the Harris County Jail with bail set at $200,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 14.
Police said he may now face more charges following Hollins’ death.
