“Trading Up: The Hottest Rumors and Deals Brewing in the MLB This Season”

The Offseason Questions and Speculations for Four Clubs

The baseball world is always filled with questions and speculations, and the Braves, Red Sox, Cubs, and Mariners are no exception. As the team management and executives prepare for the upcoming season, there are various possibilities and what-ifs that are being discussed among fans and analysts. In this article, we will explore some of the questions and speculations surrounding these teams, including the future of first basemen Spencer Torkelson, Pete Alonso, and Alex Bregman’s destinations.

**Atlanta Braves**

One of the biggest questions surrounding the Braves is what they will do with their free agents. With a projected salary cap of around $25 million, they may need to be frugal in their pursuit of quality players. When considering their pitching and outfield needs, I think the Braves will rely heavily on their young pitching hopes and current outfield options. One of the biggest speculated moves is the signing of Orioles’ lefty ace Bruce Zimmermann, who could be a prime target to fill the starting pitching hole left by the departure of Josh Tomlin.

However, another speculation is that Atlanta might bring in a pitcher and outfielder. The slashing market value for players has been reduced in this offseason. Thankfully, Atlanta is just a year removed from a $150 M pitchers and will be economically diverse. Spending $20M on another mid-cost player could significantly affect the roster alone.
