The rules of time travel can be a little finicky, depending on the author, back to the future Considered the standard for the genre, but generally everyone who ends up in the past shouldn’t try to change it too much. Butterfly effect, that is The SimpsonsTreehouse of Horror shows it in the best possible way through a malfunctioning toaster, showing that the smallest changes can dramatically alter the future. Netflix’s latest surprise hit show time shortenedgets a lot of mileage out of it by throwing a young girl 21 years into the past to prevent her sister from being murdered, and thus changing the timeline forever.
Back to 2003
the worst part time shortened Just in the brief synopsis, we realize that going back 21 years means most of the action takes place in 2003, which explains why you have back pain now. Outer Banks Starring Madison Bailey, another Netflix hit that showcases her stellar work in teen dramas, but here she plays Lucy, a woman obsessed with stopping Sweetly Slasher A young girl who killed her sister Summer. The murderer’s rampage in 2003 left permanent scars on the town, which now presents a dilapidated downtown where everyone has a sense of discomfort and detachment from life, apparently following the “act of breathing” Depressed” stage direction.
Thanks to a time machine in the barn, she’s quickly transported back to 2003 (explained later) and meets her still-alive sister (another Netflix star, ginny and georgia’s Antonia Gentry and her friend Quinn (played by Griffin Gluck, known for another Netflix series) Locke and Key) and Emmys (Meghan Best, not a Netflix star, but she was the woman Bob Odenkirk saved on the bus) no one). short rollercoaster movie
time shortened can be compared to darka German sci-fi time travel series, as both ultimately explore similar time travel concepts and prove that sometimes breaking the genre’s common rules can work best. The difference between the two is that dark Filled with great performances, multi-dimensional characters and plot twists, while time shortened It’s a machete. That’s not a knock on it, as it’s delightfully contrived and everyone on set understands the mission but knows what you’re going to do.
I was surprised how much I enjoyed the campy acting and silly plot twists time shortened, I would say if you like time loops happy death anniversaryyou might get some enjoyment out of this movie’s shakes of the past. The ending raises a lot of questions for time travel enthusiasts that can be discussed and debated for a long time, and it honestly exceeded my expectations for the movie. There aren’t any great kills for slasher fans, but at least you never figure out the identity of the sweet slasher until the big reveal, or at least I didn’t, although I have my own theories.
time shortened It’s a short rollercoaster horror film, running just 92 minutes, and I also appreciate the fact that it doesn’t overstay its welcome or try to do too much. This is the type of movie that would have gone straight to Best Buy’s DVD warehouse in 2003, but by 2024, this type of cheap content will be streaming almost daily. The concept of a time travel horror movie isn’t new, but at least it’s fun and never takes itself too seriously.
