Texans’ CJ Stroud turns to faith after Tanker Dale suffers serious leg injury: ‘All you can do is pray’
houston texans Quarterback CJ Stroud was distraught after witnessing teammate and friend Tank Dial suffer a serious leg injury during the team’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday afternoon.
What was expected to be a season-ending injury had a clear impact on the team. and Stroud.
The second-year quarterback broke down in tears and had to be comforted by other teammates.

When asked after the game how he recovered from the heartbreaking scene, Stroud spoke of his faith.
“All you can do is really pray. At the end of the day, God still gets the glory. Always, no matter what happens to me, I always know that I’m here because of the grace and grace of Jesus. No matter what happens, Left or right, up or down, I always want to praise my Lord and Savior.
“It’s not easy to keep going and keep playing, but I try to do my best,” he continued.

Texans gathered around Dell and prayed before he was taken off the field in a covered medical van. Stroud revealed what do they pray for.
“Oh my god,” he said simply. “Finding him in this moment – it’s not easy. He is the Prince of Peace, so I just pray that his peace is on the tank’s head, in his spirit, in his body. We serve an amazing God, I believe in healing and I pray that the Lord can heal him.
Saturday’s injury could be Dell’s second season-ending injury. Last season, his rookie season was cut short when he suffered a broken fibula in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos.

Dell was injured on a 30-yard touchdown pass at the start of the second half. He was taken to the University of Kansas Medical Center, where the team said he will stay overnight.
