I’m not rewatching “Kraven.” This movie is the final nail in the coffin of Sony’s Spider-Man universe.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson did not disappoint in his role as Kraven the Hunter and gave a great performance as Kraven. We see Russell Crowe and Fred Heckinger as Nikolai Kravinov and Dmitry Kravinov respectively, who together give great performances as the evil Kravinov family. Alessandro Nivola plays Aleksei Sytsevich and it’s great to see a different take on the Rhino character.
Aaron really nailed the role and the R rating was definitely appropriate for this movie. Some scenes are quite intense. I would really like to see Kraven fight Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and even challenge the likes of the Punisher.

My rating for Kraven the Hunter is 2 out of 5. Kraven is yet another hero in Marvel’s larger scheme, and he’s a great villain, given his rivalry with Spider-Man. There’s no golden thread in the larger Sony Spider-Man universe. It feels like just another random indie movie in the universe, which begs the question “do we really need Kraven the Hunter?” Additionally, even though Kraven the Hunter is an important part of Sony’s Spider-Man universe, there’s no actual appearance or even a mention of Spider-Man, which is really disappointing. While we’re treated to various cameos in this movie, we see no significant characters, and with no actual connection between the other entries in Sony’s Spider-Man universe, the golden thread has been broken. As the main villain in the story, Rhino was designed differently compared to Spider-Man works such as “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”, but as the main villain, Rhino was quickly extinct in the movie. . Finally, there are no end credits at the end, so you don’t have to wait until the end. This sends the message that there may not be any future titles in Sony’s Spider-Man universe. Is Sony’s Spider-Man universe dead at this point? Have we finally reached the end of Sony’s Marvel Universe?
