When Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) performs her first hypnosis on Ellen Laurent (Christopher Cousins), she remembers something. She recalls seeing a black truck chasing Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) the night of the accident.
The truck pulled up behind her and she pulled over to let the truck pass. Phyllis also remembers seeing a truck. There is no doubt that this is the same one. Sharon said she heard a crash and believed someone was hurt the young and the restless.
The memory upsets Sharon and Alan snaps her out of it. She said the impact was far away, so she couldn’t have caused it. By the end of that meeting, she was convinced that she had kept Phyllis off the road.
In fact, it would be a twist if Phyllis Summers was part of Sharon’s acquittal. Sharon wanted to go further, but Ellen didn’t want to push her too hard or too fast. But Sharon is optimistic that she will remember more, and maybe even remember other amnesias.
Of course, what she discovers may be disturbing the young and the restless. This worries Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). He also believes the person driving the truck may have drugged Sharon as well. Indeed, he was right.
Most likely it’s evil villain Jordan Howard (Colleen Zanke). Of course, the driver could be Ian Ward (Ray Wise). But it’s more likely Jordan, since she’s been following Ian’s orders and doing most of his dirty work.

Another, more shocking memory Sharon may recall is seeing Jordan kill Heather Stevens (Wellblum). As Sharon struggled with Heather, she passed out.
When she woke up, she saw Heather dead, lying in a pool of blood. Soon, she might revert to what happened during that time and just remember seeing Jordan attack Heather. Then she will know she is innocent the young and the restless.
#3 – Ian Ward Returns to Y&R Revealed to Sharon
Additionally, Sharon may have regained consciousness during her coma enough to see Ian’s face. Or, she might have heard Jordan calling Ian’s name and talking to him. And there’s always the possibility that he was the one who took Heather’s life.
Sharon has a painful history with Ian. So it would be terrible if memories of him surfaced. No doubt she thought he was still in prison, but if she remembered seeing him, she would know he was free. Then she would realize that her family was in danger.

In addition to meeting Ian, she may have had a full-blown conversation with Cameron Kirsten (Lyndon Ashby) while hallucinating him all the time. She already knew he was hallucinating.
Maybe Ian was there to make her think he was Cameron. As a former cult leader, he specializes in manipulation and mind games. Plus, since Sharon was under the influence of PCP, he could have had her see him as Cameron.
So he can manipulate her mind the young and the restless. And let her do what he wanted – like dispose of Heather’s body. Ian might actually be with her and not just a figment of Cameron’s imagination.
Additionally, Ian will likely be by her side to convince her to kill Daniel Romulotti (Michael Graziardi). This ultimately led to Heather’s tragic death the young and the restless.
