Candace Cameron Bure and Danica McKellar’s kiss scene made husbands uncomfortable
Iconic ’90s stars and old friends Candace Cameron Bure and Danica McKellar are bringing holiday cheer this season.
Bure and McKellar kicked off the winter holidays by hosting the first Great American Family Christmas at Northwell Park at USB Arena in New York City. Bure became chief creative officer of the Great American Family Channel in 2022.
Called the “Queen of Christmas Movies” by fans, Bull has her fair share of sweet holiday kisses on screen. She spoke to Fox News Digital about her husband’s reaction when she performed in a romantic scene and how it affected their marriage.

“I don’t think it’s comfortable for anyone – maybe if you’re an actor married to another actor – it’s never comfortable to watch your spouse in someone’s arms, even for a light kiss. Or a kiss or something,” the “Full House” star shared.

However, the “Sweet Christmas” actress noted that her husband has been “very supportive” and “proud” of all her projects.
“We had an honest conversation. He said, ‘I really don’t want to see that part,’ ‘I don’t want you to go through that.’ But … we worked through those feelings and got to a place where we felt good and supported situation.
The “Better Days” star also said her husband “didn’t like” her acting in romantic scenes either, and both actresses said they tend to “fast forward” or watch commercials when they come on.
“I don’t think it’s comfortable for anyone…it’s never comfortable watching your spouse in someone else’s arms.”
McKellar has another approach.
“When that part of the movie happened, I just kissed him,” she said, eliciting laughter from Bull.

Bure married former NHL player Valeri Bure in June 1996.
McKellar, who stars in The Great American Family’s “A Cinderella Christmas Ball,” has a son, 14, with ex-husband Mike Verta Draco. She is currently married to attorney Scott Sveslosky, who also has a son from a previous relationship.

The two celebrity friends have bonded over their faith since Bull first took McKellar to church. McKellar said it has changed her lifestyle overall, and she mentioned an hour before her interview on Fox News Digital that she was listening to her “Bible retelling.”

“I don’t know how I lived before… I don’t know how I dealt with things,” McKellar said. “It’s a peace that transcends understanding.”
“I have a very stressful life…and having this relationship [with faith] It’s everything… I want other people to get that joy… Part of the reason I’m so excited about the Great American Family is that it’s all about faith and family and country… we can help people find the light.

Burr also starred in “Christmas Lesser Gone” with Eric Johnson and in “Let It Snow” with Jesse Hatch. She’s been starring in Christmas movies for more than a decade and told Fox News Digital her secrets for creating compelling holiday content.

“I love making these movies. When I made my first one 15 years ago, I had no idea that this genre would continue for so many years,” she said.
“But I keep making them because people love them…people feel so moved and they mean something to them, whether it’s a new tradition they create for their own family or because they watched some of our films. , where they made a connection that somehow made sense.

She added that her film “Christmas Lesser Gone” received positive reviews because her character discovers a recorded message from her late father on an old tape.
Fans said the movie was “very touching” and “helped” them “get through the holidays,” while some viewers were able to relate to the story of a parent’s death.
“That’s why I continue to make them,” Buell said.

She also mentioned that McKellar has been writing for and acting in films for Great American Family Media. McKellar stars in her 11th Christmas movie, with several of her previous films produced by Hallmark.
McKellar told Fox News Digital that she is “loyal” to Great American Media CEO Bill Abbott, the former CEO of Hallmark Co.
“I really believe Bill revitalized my career… and allowed me to be a part of this kind of romantic comedy and Christmas romantic comedy. [I’m] Thank you very much to him. I always will be.
As the Great American Family hosts their first Christmas festival, Bure details why the company decided to create this festive experience.

“We’ve been dreaming about this for years and we really wanted to create an environment where you could bring the whole family together to experience Christmas. Kind of like in our movie,” Bull told Fox News Digital.
During the festival, festival-goers can take photos with Santa, go ice skating, enjoy food and games. Fans will also have the opportunity to meet the talented cast, including “A Christmas Wish” star Mario Lopez.
‘Full House’ star Dave Coulier diagnosed with ‘very serious’ cancer
Burr rose to fame playing DJ Tanner on “Full House,” alongside Mary-Kate, Ashley Olsen, Jodie Sweetin, John Stamos, Bob Saget and Starring alongside Dave Coulier.
Coulier recently revealed that he was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She said they had been close friends for years and she spoke to him “almost every day.”

“He was one of my closest friends. He was family to me… This is devastating news,” she told Fox News Digital. “We are all hopeful … we are praying and doing everything we can to support … him.”
Their Full House co-star Stamos has received some criticism recently for choosing to “stick together” with his good friend Coulier. The 61-year-old posted a photo on social media wearing a bald hat next to Coulier, who had his head shaved before cancer treatment began.
Bull said she was “surprised” by fans who criticized the photo.

“I understand humor, I understand friendship… Dave wanted to use humor to deal with his diagnosis… John was one of his best friends and that was something they did together and they laughed. But… people deal with it. Things are different in this case… I’m surprised by the backlash, but I know all the intentions are good.
The Great American Family Christmas Festival is expected to run through December 24th.
