Jasmine Paolini coach Renzo Furlan named 2024 WTA Coach of the Year

2024 is another great year for Italian tennis. In women’s football, no Italian star shines brighter than her. Jasmine PaoliniExploded, reaching two Grand Slam finals and rising to a career-high fourth place in the WTA rankings.
Paolini, who also won the women’s doubles gold medal at the Paris Olympics with Sara Errani, was ranked 30th last year but has made a meteoric rise this year, entering the top 20, top 10 and top 5 for the first time.
Due to Paolini’s huge success, her coach Renzo Furlan was named the 2024 WTA Coach of the Year.
The award is voted on by WTA coaches. The award was established in 2018 and has never been won by an Italian before. Previous winners are:

2021: Conchita Martinez (Gabin Muguruza)

Forlan, former world No. 19. He first worked with Paolini in 2015 and became her full-time coach in 2020.
