Kate Middleton’s son Louis hid Carole’s services from Charlotte

Kate, 42, hosted the festive concert at Westminster Abbey on Friday, December 6, and performed a series of musical performances. At one point, a ballet troupe performed for attendees, including husband Kate prince william and their three children. William, 42, and Kate have children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
“Louis knew the dancers and was talking about them over tea,” Kate recalled to guests in a video shared by Sky News. “He said, ‘What’s the secret?’ and I said, ‘Louis, can you keep it a secret? Because I want this to be a surprise for Charlotte, who loves ballet. [classes].'”
According to Kate, her 6-year-old promised not to “say anything” to her sister before the concert.
“And he kept it a secret,” she marveled to the members of the dance troupe. “That’s like two weeks, right? For a six-year-old! And then, this morning, he said, ‘Mom, can I tell her? I’m going to explode.

Kate and Charlotte wore red coat dresses for the occasion, while William and the boys opted for navy suits and maroon ties.
Kate has hosted Christmas Together concerts for many years, but this iteration comes after a challenging period. The Princess of Wales was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer earlier this year and completed a round of chemotherapy in September.
“I had no idea this was going to be the year I just had,” Kate noted on Friday. “Unplanned … but I think a lot of people have been through such challenging times this year and a lot of them are here today.”
To mark the occasion, Kate also left a special letter for her guests.
“Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year,” Kate wrote in her note. “This is a time of celebration and joy, but it also gives us the opportunity to slow down and reflect on the deeper things that connect us all. Only when we pause and step away from the stresses of daily life can we Finding a space to live with an open heart, love, kindness and forgiveness – that’s what the Christmas spirit is all about.
She concluded, “Love is a beacon that shines brightly even in our darkest times. We all have something to offer each other. A gentle word or a listening ear, an arm around a tired shoulder, or Be with someone silently.
