Prince William is in Paris and making familiar body language gestures. The 42-year-old future monarch traveled to France to attend the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris after a devastating fire in 2019.

As Vice President of News and Entertainment Philip Mutz pointed out, the future monarch cannot stop himself from crossing his arms in front of him during public events. In fact, it’s a move he uses time and time again. Take a look at the photo above. Prince William stands between French President and First Lady Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron. Although he was smiling, there was no doubt that his arms were folded in front of him.

In another photo from the cathedral event, the prince is seated with his hands folded in his lap (although I’m not sure this is a defense mechanism, just a comfortable sitting position). He was also spotted shaking hands with US First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.
