Carson Beck exited the SEC championship game on Saturday with a hand injury.
With one second left in the first half, Baker attempted a power pass to give Georgia its first lead of the game.
However, he was hit as he threw and his arm looked like it was struggling to stop.

Baker was quickly attended to by trainers and coaches, and he was slow to get out of the car. He jogged off the field under his own power, but it was clear something was wrong.
Smart told ESPN at halftime that the injury might not be enough to keep him out of the game — alas, Georgia is now swinging with gunner Stockton. Smart told ESPN at the beginning of the half that Baker would not be able to return.

With Baker at center, the Bulldogs didn’t fare well, allowing just one field goal in the first half.
But on the bright side, the Texas offense, led by Quinn Ewers, wasn’t much better – they put two field goals in the goal post and the Longhorns led 6-3 at halftime.
A loss would be the first time Georgia has lost three games since the 2018 season — their first loss to a team other than Alabama since losing to Ole Miss in Oxford in 2020.
