Unsurprisingly, Disney’s latest foray into live-action movies is a remake of the animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Granted, the remake isn’t inherently bad, but Mark Webb’s latest project might be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Many remakes have been criticized for lacking the magic and charm of their animated counterparts. That may be true in some cases, but Snow White appears to be a remake, and the movie hasn’t even been released yet.
Not only does the film seem to go against the grain of what made the 1937 film memorable, but it also decided to delay its release until 2025, which is usually not a good sign.

According to actress Rachel Zegler: “People joke that our computer is Snow White, and it’s like, yeah, it is – because it needs this. This is a cartoon from 1986, and our version tells a refreshing story about a young woman who has the power to transcend “One day my prince will come”.
It’s perfectly fine to have characters transcend the love story, but when filmmakers are remaking a classic story that’s primarily based on romance and a strong love story, not making romance the focus of the remake will only result in diluting what the original was about. Released.

It’s probably not Ziegler’s fault that she was cast, but a bigger issue with relying on Disney, but the fact is that the Mouse House cast the Colombian when the movie was called “Snow White” instead of “Ashen” And not a white actress.
To undermine Snow White’s structure and race is almost an insult to the character. She’s a great actress, but this isn’t her vehicle.

Ziegler didn’t do herself any favors by essentially spitting on the 1937 film’s legacy, and she and the filmmakers decided to not only make a love story but also add (mostly) CGI dwarves instead of real actors.
Additionally, The Amazing Spider-Man duology director Mark Webber has remained mum about the film and has apparently been tapped to direct a Bermuda Triangle movie. This may be because he knew “Snow White” would be terrible.
